Iowa State University Microscopy Facility
The ISU Microscopy Facility is located in the basement of Bessey Hall. This
service facility provides 24-hour access, seven days a week and is headed by Dr.
Harry Horner. It, furthermore, provides all the instrumentation, technical
assistance, and training necessary for the microscopy applications proposed in
this application (in situ hybridization, immunolocalization). The available
hardware of importance to this application includes a variety of microtomes,
knifemakers and sharpeners, a compound microscope with darkfield capabilities,
and the latest image analysis systems.
