Prospective Students

Welcome to Plant Pathology! Our faculty, staff and students are engaged in exciting research and educational programs that span the breadth of this multi-faceted discipline. From molecular studies of plant-pathogen interaction to the development of sustainable pest management strategies, our programs offer the opportunity to tailor your graduate experience to your unique interests.

We offer state-of-the-art laboratory and field research facilities and a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.  Many of our faculty have extensive international research collaborations providing students with opportunities for international experience. 

In addition to our graduate program in Plant Pathology, students with faculty in Plant Pathlogy earn degrees in interdepartmental programs such as; Bioinformatics and Computational Biology; Ecology and Evolutionary Biology; Genetics; Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology; Plant Physiology; Microbiology; Sustainable Agriculture and Toxicology. 

The Plant Pathology Department also co-administers the Interdepartmental Undergraduate Program in Microbiology.
